It works with Mac and PC and has all the best interfaces, including Firewire, eSATA and USB 3.0 that is backward compatible with USB 2.0. I use my drive with USB3 and I do feel the increase in speed, and the best part is that there's no learning curve. If you know how to use any USB device, you already know how to use USB 3.0. The drive is absolutely silent whether it's working or just sitting there waiting for work. It has solid aluminum body, very slim and good looking. Aluminum also serves as an efficient heatsink for the hard drive. The drive is very easy too use on any computer no matter the configuration or interfaces. Top it all off with plug-and-play installation, and user-friendly backup software that is part of the package. Very nice product! Kudos to LaCie.
