I have used it to replace an analog RCA-mini plug cable which connected my Apple Airport Express to my home theater receiver. This optical cable allows the receiver to do the D-to-A conversion. The sound is SO much better.
The cable itself is an ideal length and seems sturdy. The connectors fit well and the cable is resistant to unwanted bending. A quality piece at a fair price.
