Details: I've been using this Cord for about a month, with no problems. My power unit is newer than the Cord: the cord is a yellower shade of white, and it's a little narrower than the power unit - but it fits perfectly well.

Sidenote, for people who use 85W power units: I recommend this product for anyone who buys an 85W power unit (unless the 85W already comes with one of these extension cords). Here's why: After a few months, the 85W - using the default, tiny plug - will only recharge your laptop, if you jiggle it *just right* into the power outlet. It will get increasingly difficult to find the correct position where your laptop gets recharged. But using one of these cords, the 85W works perfectly fine - no hassle.
RE the sidenote: If you're unsure what Wattage your power unit is, it's probably a 45W or 60W (not an 85W) - especially if its face is square (45W or 60W), not rectangular (85W).
